It is one thing for food to be not uniformly shaped but another thing for the food to be thrown into a box with no protection from other foods. Lettuces and sage were wilted and no gel packs to aid in keeping them fresh. Pears were either bruised or skin had been scraped off by the bumping into other items in the box. Mini-cucumbers were broken into pieces. Celery had several stalks unattached. Apples had punctured holes - again would be able to handle not shaped uniformly but not holes punched throw the skin. Contacted customer service by e-mail within 15 minutes of it being delivered and have yet over 36 hours later to receive a response. I have cancelled my membership. The sad thing is all of this could have been prevented if items such as the fruit had been wrapped in tissue and some gel packs had been used for the lettuce, etc. Here is what appeared to have happened - a box was placed on a belt and as it moved down the line items were just tossed into the box with no care on the condition they landed. Then instead of putting packing to keep the items from shifting in a too large of a box they were just sealed up to make the journey and end up in terrible condition. Don't waste your money - the box and shipping cost was just under $49.00. The chickens got the most enjoyment out of the produce. As I told them in the comment I was ordering fresh produce not a wilted salad.
