Misfits Market is very clear during account creation that it is a subscription based service that auto ships at the end of the week. You can always unsubscribe from this model. Now to my actual thoughts: The idea is wonderful to cut down on food waste, I signed up mostly just to price check and was a bit disappointed. The prices are mostly the same if not more then what I could buy from my local grocer of the exact same item. For a company claiming to sell "food waste" or unwanted merchandise I was expecting a significant price decrease. Also after doing some research it seems only some of their food falls into this category of "misshapen produce or unwanted food". They still have a supplier they supplement with other goods, essentially just turning it into another less efficient grocery store. I have not ordered anything yet and perhaps I won't.
