I placed items in the cart though I was not ready to commit to those items thus I did not proceed with checking out. Imagine my surprise when I received notification that my “order” had been delivered. Say what?! I received no email confirmation of a purchase or that my “order” was being prepared. When I contacted Misfits through email I received the excuse about it being a subscription service and to check my spam folder for the order confirmation. Strange that the email notification about delivery didn’t go to spam but somehow an email I’m told was sent at 444am about order confirmation may have gone to spam.
I saw nothing in the items received that screamed misfit. Yes, I kept the delivery- too much hassle to have to go through to get them to come back and take back the delivery. I’ve done several subscription type services over the years BUT I have always had to process or finalize an order before being sent anything and there has always been a confirmation received.
Misfits wants to stake their right to process an order based on it’s a subscription service thus can charge you.
They’ll tout “organic” though there are no identifiers to prove this as fact. They’ll use a “default” tip for the delivery driver and though you may not have finalized an order that exceeds the amount to receive free shipping - you’ll get dinged their shipping charge.
Not impressed and not only canceled but deleted my account altogether with them
