I purchased the Duo system a little over a month ago. Have tested it twice to confirm reception and speaker function. The connection is good and the speaker volume on both the base station and mobile device are very loud and based on my conversation with the Mobil Help technician the microphone was able to pick up my voice just fine. This system has given me peace of mind that help from my loved ones or 911 medical assistance is just a button push away.
