I helped my 86 year old mother to cancel an order with Mobile Phones Direct. She should have received a refund of £149 around 10 days later. She's deaf and sometimes struggles with calls, so I called on her behalf to chase the refund. There followed weeks of hell, me putting in hours and hours of calls. They agreed it was not her fault, said how sorry they were and made zero progress on the refund. They promised to call me back - nope, didn't happen. They promised to escalate it - nope, didn't happen. Finally, after a whole month, they sent the refund. No compensation for my mum, who was going mad at the lost money. Bunch of scammers. Most elderly people would have given up long before, allowing Mobile Phones Direct to keep the cash. Disgraceful.
