An entry level 3G phone (Huawei) was purchased, it is excellent value. Only 2 comments.
1. Battery could do with more capacity. It is in use for about 15 hours a day, web access normally off to minimise usage, it needs to be charged on day 3.
2. The network provider appears to be Orange. Coverage in my area is poor despite being London SW16. Cannot get a signal in most of the house. Not sure who to complain to !
