I wanted a new contract for my vodafone number. It wasn't clear when I signed up that porting the number from vodafone to vodafone would not be straightforward. I called Mobiles.co.uk and was told that I'd need to do a triangle port that would take a couple of days. I bought a cheap Tesco sim to do this, but all the phones I have are locked to Vodafone. The earliest port date to Tesco was 4 days and I now need to wait further before I can port back to Vodafone. I've had to top up the Tesco sim in the meantime to bridge the gap.
I appreciate that it's easy to do this for other networks, but I'm really disappointed in the time & inconvenience of the vodafone process, I'm equally disappointed in the customer service which seemed to stop as soon as I logged a problem. I lost count of the number of messages I had about the order being received/processed/despatched, but as soon as I voiced concern and regret - silence.
