Wanted to unlock old phone to take to Japan. Used the mobile unlock service who sent me the unlock code really quickly. Pitched up in Japan and put in the Japanese SIM a few days later at the airport, bingo! Although phone said unlock unsuccessful, it did in fact unlock, and SIM working no problem.
