My pup sleeps in her crate at night and I've noticed since getting her Molly Mutt crate pad, she goes in during the day just to chill. I decided against a waterproof mattress cover because reviews said they leaked and were noisy. Instead, I got a washable incontinence pad (fabric ones with waterproof backing used in hospitals under patients) and put it inside the duvet layered it on top of the pillows/blankets I stuffed it with. Now if she gets sick i can throw the duvet and pad in the washer. Love this product! Will be back for more.
