I had always thrown an old blanket over the couch to protect it from my dogs, but it wasn't very effective. It was always disheveled and didn't really protect the sofa. I'm very happy with my Molly Mutt purchase! It's heavier than a blanket so doesn't move around so much, plus there are grippers on the back helping to keep it in place. So worth it!
