I have been a customer since the beginning of Monese and was satisfied with it. Customer service was excellent until 2021/2022. I had a pound sterling card account and a Euro card account. Monese makes publicity for also cash deposits at for example news agents in the UK. My deposits have been 95% by bank transfers. At one stage 2 year ago I made a couple of SMALL cash deposits at news agents. Monese wasn’t happy with this? But I did not understand why. Never got a proper explanation. I received a notification that I hade to renew my cards. I decided after several attempts to contact customer service to close my accounts! I was clearly ignored by Monese. Last year I thought to give it a go again and opened a new account in the UK. On my UK address I received a Euro card account this stopped me from making cash deposits with news agents? I contacted by email Monese and asked for an explanation. Up to today I never received any explanation whatsoever. I closed the account again and destroyed the debit card. So I would advise people: do not believe what they say about the limits of cash deposits made on your Monese UK card account because it’s not thrue at all. Today customer service at Monese is a joke and they will completely ignore you when it’s convenient to them! My advise ignore Monese completely and go elsewhere.
