I already had a policy with Morethan and was offered a renewal but with a considerable increase in premium. I went on line and found the same policy for a much lower figure. However, when I phoned the company to suggest that they give me the lower on line premium, they refused with the only excuse that they couldn't do it. All they could do was offer me a £10 reduction as a goodwill gesture. Two questions: why could they not offer me the online price; and why did they not offer me the goodwill reduction when they invited me to renew the existing policy?! As the insurance cover met my needs, I cancelled my existing policy and bought the new online policy with a saving of nearly £40. Had I not been able to do this, I would have given them a very poor rating.
