Dear Morrisons
In your store on the Isle of Sheppey I saw a product advertised as a "Manx style Kipper"
This is not a Manx Kipper, nor is it a Manx style Kipper, the only thing this abomination has in common with a Manx Kipper is that it began life as a herring.
We take our herring and smoke them for hours over smouldering wood chips until it takes on a deep substantial flavour and a smell that can penetrate armoured glass.
A Manx kipper is a food item of gobal significance, right up there with Pata Negra Ham, Vacherin Cheese, Whitstable Native Oysters, and Blufin Tuna Sashimi.
What you have in that display fridge is a dead fish dipped in floor varnish. Please do not insult my nation by associating it with the Isle of Man
