Wanted to purchase a pair of socks for £16.99 today in Dumfries and label reads "half price with purchase" so I selected a second pair, also at £16.99 as my "other purchase". I was refused half price offer as I was told neither of these items constituted a "purchase". I was told I would need to buy some other item to benefit from the half price offer. I was offered the purchase of a 50p card. This meant I was being forced to buy something I didn't want and I find this sales tactic misleading and the quickest way for the company to keep me away from attempting to make any purchase whatsoever. I rejected the offer and left the store empty handed.
