The replacement soft-close toilet seat I purchased was of good quality, though I had to use superglue to secure the brass fitting inside the rubber housing as it became detached after a very short time.
The product's biggest weakness was the lack of written instructions. From the illustrations it appeared it was possible to secure the seat in three different ways, but there was no guidance as to which was best in any particular situation.
