Having previously sold a mobile phone with a different company we decided to use Music Magpie after they had offered a higher value for our handset.
They offered us £150 for a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Having read through their T&Cs and ensuring that the handset "matched" their requirements we were happy to go ahead.
Now if you've owned or seen a Note 4 you would know it comes with a stylus, that slots into the body of the phone, with an audible click. We checked the phone over, made sure the stylus was slotted it, and then proceeded to wrap it all up.
Funnily enough with how smooth the sale had been with a competitor in the past we didn't think to take pictures of this prior; oh how wrong were we.
Package was collected by DPD. Delivered. And we received a "revised" offer due to "Reason: Missing internal / external parts". Now there is no way of checking online to see what this means; so we called them. The nice lady on the phone checked further and told us that the warehouse had found the stylus to have gone "missing". After explaining to her that we were 100% certain it was attached prior to being wrapped up and there was no way it could have fallen out, they insisted it was not. "Accept the offer or take the handset back with its stylus missing."
So take back a phone with parts missing, when you handed it over complete, or accept £90 instead of £150.
They're rip off merchants, but this review won't see the light of day, because by the looks of it they report negative reviews on Trustpilot so no one can be forewarned.
Don't use them. Save yourself the hassle.
