My Car Check alerted me to the fact I was about to buy a Cat D (as a result of an insurance company paying out after it had been stolen, not because of a collision) car which, although mechanically sound (apparently), would require an independent engineer's inspection report to insure. Combined with their valuation, it confirmed the car wasn't quite the deal I thought it was. It was £2 (appx) well spent.
