These are NOT the steel dog tags of the 40s. They are made with the aluminum like the modern tags. They will look like the originals from 10' away though. But I didn't want the flimsy clanking aluminum.
/Edit It was pointed out these tags are indeed steel, but they are not the same thickness and durability of the original WWII tags I received from a friend as a collectable. I wanted a personalized set so purchased these. They are similar quality of my more modern (1990s) dog tags and NOT what I wanted of WWII Dog tags.
