I have just finished writing a formal letter of complaint to this company. They were recommended to me by my mortgage provider Halifax and I also copied Halifax into my letter. Amongst the errors made were major mistakes in the calculation of Stamp Duty owed, long delays in addressing messages sent on their portal, 9 employees communicating with me on the portal rather than the one Case Executive I was told I would have, offers of compensation based on what their 'regulators' suggest-even though regulators have no bearing whatsoever on compensation offered. Also, a reluctance to provide their names during phone contact suggesting an unwillingness to be held accountable. This is highly unprofessional. I was also forced to make contact with the outgoing party to highlight the inaccuracies in the paperwork sent to both sides when it became clear that Optima Legal would not do so themselves within an acceptable time frame. This had been a high-conflict relationship and therefore, having to make this contact was extremely stressful for me. Without doubt, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
