The technician conducted the monthly computer clean-up and then tackled my problem of the screen dimming. He tried a number of things and it didn't fix the problem. Then he went online to look at what people had said about problems with my computer and actually uninstalled and reinstalled a driver that needed to be done. Everything worked fine after that. I was very satisfied in that he didn't give up, even though he didn't know exactly what to do. He took the trouble to go on the internet and look up this problem on my computer.
