We decided to try MFB as we were looking for more variety in our meals, and were eager to try different flavours. I was sick of cooking the same thing every week. From that perspective MFB does not disappoint. Most dishes have a great flavour profile and the spices always pack a punch. The tofu dishes are our favourite. I love the convenience of MFB and not having to think about what the meals for the week will be. I've noticed a huge shift in terms of carbohydrates, as we never used to eat them, but now we have them most nights. I also feel that MFB uses a little too much salt, so I have made a conscious effort to avoid where possible. It is not required where lots of spices are used in a dish. I love the bonus treats we sometimes get and the rewards I've received- it adds value to what is a relatively expensive way to eat. It would be great if the recipes came in a paper bag (like they do for gourmet weeks) instead of randomly thrown around the box. I often roast cauliflower and add a salad, as I do feel more greens are required for some meals. I also wish that thighs were used more than breasts for the chicken dishes. Based on the boxes we have tried, gourmet packs are definitely for a more confident cook. But overall, we are loving it- even the arguments on a Sunday night about what to choose for the following week:)
