Plates used to be made properly from reflective strips and plastic laid on top - recently the owner had decided to cheap it out to the black plastic backing plates which allow water to seep into the 'sticker' on front and these plates last a year. The price of the plates hasn't changed yet the material now used to make them is one of far poorer quality. I bought 4-5 sets of plate from this shop last year but since he has reverted to the black plastic backing ones - I won't be shopping with him again.
