I ordered Angela and Alison 20017 × 1 Midnight-Shimmer/8, on 09/24/21 _ ORDER #445280. I received it on 10/05/21 only to find out that size 8, which is my size according to the size chart, is inaccurate. According to their size chart, size 8 should have fitted me perfectly, but it turned out to be too small. I called NYD customer service to have it exchanged with a bigger size, but the agent said it is a final sale, and it cannot be returned. I explained that it is not a return, rather, it is an exchange because the size chart is inaccurate. The agent said that it has to be returned first to be exchanged, and it cannot be returned!!! I said I'll have to right a review to warn customers that even if you are diligent enough to take your own measurements accurately, and order accordingly, you might end up with the wrong size that wont fit. In this day and age where most purchases are done online, and there is no chance to try on the garment before buying it, merchants need to be more flexible in accommodating customers. At that point, the agent said that she'll make me an exception. She'll exchange it if I agree to pay $26.25 restocking fee, and the return shipping cost which was $16.25. It ended up costing me $42.5 to start the exchange process. I also, had to accept a different dress color since the one I originally ordered was out of stock. Not to mention that I did not have a dress for the special occasion that I purchased for. I had to wear a dress that I had in my closet because there was not time to wait for another dress to arrive. I shipped the dress back on 10/14/21. The USPS tracking system says that it was received by NYD on 10/18/21. I have not received the exchange yet. Not sure when I'll receive it.
