I book in advance but the technology fails too often. For example I was told on one occasion that as it was raining there may have been a drop of water on the camera lens. On another, the only message on the screen after putting my ticket in the machine was "Error shutting down".
When the technology fails, if I have to go to the office, there is nowhere to pull over so I cause a queue at the barrier and the people in the cars behind obviously blame me for holding them up.
