On return home the automatic recognition system failed (again) and I had to go into the office, causing a queue to build up. The replacement ticket given, unfortunately didn't work either.......back to the office, bigger queue, irate people telling me to move my car(?). 3rd time lucky! It worked.
It didn't help that it was bucketing down at the time!
