Entry to the long stay car park was quick and easy, and the bus took only a few minutes to the Terminal. We travelled in early May, so not too busy and the transit through security was swift and efficient, with short queues and efficient staff. It helps if everyone takes coats off, and has their computers and phones ready to put in the trays, instead of waiting until the last minute. There are plenty of cafes, pubs etc in the waiting area, but also generous additional seating. Our flight was late coming back, and we overran our parking time so the exit ticket was rejected by the machine. However, sensible planning means that the office is right next to the exit, and the ticket was soon validated so we could leave...didn't have to pay any extra as the charge is up to midnight, so next time I will allow extra time. I like Newcastle Airport for its efficiency, and good atmosphere and will use it as often as possible when going on holiday.
