I travelled on my own to Newcastle airport following pre-booking online. I was very fortunate to find a parking spot within walking distance of the airport. My one negative comment would be that when I returned from my holiday late evening I had problems finding the exit out of the car park (car park B long stay). Clearer exit markings would have improved my experience. My partner thought this was amusing however as I pointed out to him, other drivers also struggled to find the exit, some of them were males!!!! Otherwise apart from the cost the experience was fairly straight forward as regards the ticket system and I would not be deterred from using the airport car parking at Newcastle again with or without my partner.
