It is great having an International airport on my doorstep (living in Newcastle) that flies to the Far East (via your daily Emirates flight), on which I was a regular flyer, and also across Europe (though a few more direct flights would be great). The bar, and also the Aspire lounge are regular haunts. The staff, including security staff, are polite and friendly. Airport parking is reasonably priced (for an airport) especially when booked in advance, and I have booked parking minutes before driving to the airport from the centre of town. However, Bar Ritazza, particularly the groundside Bar Ritazza, is filthy and staffed with belligerent uncaring individuals, incapable of making a decent cup of coffee. I will never return, and see my review on tripadvisor for more evidence.
