Booked car parking in advance, got a great deal cheaper than a taxi. Check in was swift but long queues for security. Much preferred the departure lounge a few years ago, now too many bars and not enough seating areas for those of us not wanting to tip alcohol down our necks or eat overpriced junk food. Notice boards visible and easy to understand. Called to gate then straight onto plane, no waiting around. Return journey, no queues at passport control, Borders Agency staff quite pleasant. Not to long waiting for luggage to be offloaded, then back to car and home. Have used Newcastle airport many times and will continue to do so.
