Probably the worst airport I have been to anywhere in the world. Let me explain..: it would be pleasant to have a smiling face on entry to the boarding pass/passport service, it seems to be an effort by ALL who work in that section to be miserable, unwelcoming and at times very abrupt. After that experience the food and drink offering is abysmal and expensive. Bar prices are typical 5 star hotel prices but the selection of food is fast food or fast food which has been prepared and pre cooked somewhere else then re heated on your premises. That’s what it seems like?! What happened to the nice restaurant where an al a carte meal and bottle of wine could be enjoyed at your leisure before your flight?. The airport now offers an expensive pre paid lounge where you can have a drink with nuts, crisps and snacks...and a free paper to read! Whoop eee! On the return landing it always seems to be a surprise to airside staff that a plane has landed...we sat on the plane for a very uncomfortable 20mins last time whilst someone found some steps, the last 4 times, this year we have travelled we have had a similar experience not the same delay but almost! On arrival on 06/10/17 at 1am the escalator was off the chap said when I asked why.... if I had more time I would have put the barriers out so you could go round them...ok it was late at night or early morning, reason or excuse? You decide. Seriously, one of the best airports I have used this year was Southampton, they have it right.. I have been through Southampton as said, Guernsey Palma, alacante, Malaga Newcastle this year and that is the pecking order of excellence in performance... I have emailed you several times previously to state my case....and no response from you....please improve! Regards Julian Tagger
