Although Edinburgh is closer, it is still easy to access from Scottish Borders adn you don't have to worry about the Edinburgh City Bypass! Parking is close to terminal building and reasonable costs, although negotiating the current works in the short stay with suitcases is difficult as there is not adequate signage for pedestrians. Once inside airport, security could be better managed to speed it up. Signage/Directions to Gates after security is poor. However, facilities are clean and staff very friendly. An easy and unstressful airport experience! Would recommend.
