Generally good facilities, typical of most airports. Easy check-in and security with usual scramble for trays and subsequent queue to collect trays and get dressed. Good duty free offering, food quality dodgy and expensive so always bring own food - no fun having "delhi-belly" on board a plane! Car parking is good but signage is very poor especially trying to find way out at the dead of night! I always say that Newcastle baggage return is the slowest of any airport I've ever flown to but last trip was very quick especially considering two other flights followed us in. Warning: expect diversions for overnight roadworks when leaving the airport - outside airport control of course but a 1 hour journey can easily become 2 hours when directed through unknown countryside!
