I arrived at the airport pick up point following a return flight from Southampton. Having waited 20 minutes with no sign of the minibus I rang the office using the number on the blue receipt card they issued when taking the car. The number went to answer machine because it was after 18.30 hours. My message would not have been picked-up until next day. I walked in the pouring rain to the site office, obviously unhappy. I was greeted by unsympathetic staff who said they hadn't seen anyone on the shelter camera waiting. This poses the question of how long do you have to wait on the off chance someone looks at the monitor? The girl then said why didn't you ring the number on the shelter? This is apparently different to the card they issued me with and if I had stepped out in the pouring rain suspecting the numbers differed I probably would have done that. I have used this facility on numerous occasions with normally cheery staff. NOT ANYMORE. Travellers beware. You may have a long wait if the camera monitor is not viewed.
