I have never received lovelier customer service over the phone in my life than I just did from Thomas at Octopus Energy.
I think we can all agree that no matter the company, you're going to be waiting in a queue and listening to whatever hilarious phone music they have until someone can speak to you. For context, I waited 40 minutes on the phone for Utilita Energy and when the man finally answered, he was cold, uninterested and immediately dismissive. I waited 8 minutes on the phone for Octopus Energy and was helped thoroughly, kindly and efficiently by Thomas. He was extremely kind and patient - given my scottish accent. He made me feel like an equal and a human being instead of just another number, and it was a complete breath of fresh air!
He made the transition process from Utilita to Octopus extremely easy and explained everything to me in a warm, simple way.
It's always quite anxiety inducing when you know you need to phone suppliers, whether it's energy, internet or whatever else, but I can safely say that my anxiety was eradicated speaking with Thomas, and I'm relieved to be with Octopus Energy knowing that my phone calls are going to be handled so much better and with much more care.
