Having had a dreadful experience with EDF (my smart meter appointments endlessly stalled and there has been no attempt to update me over 18 weeks).
At Octopus I was talked through the switching process by Kai who also advised me he would be monitoring appointment dates - I am on the PSR.
Kai has been extremely professional and also personable and so far the whole switching process has been clear and swift. Now all I need is the Smart Meter /installation date.
