Today, 23rd April, 2025, My Wife and I decided to change our energy supplier to Octopus. We used the online app' to apply. We were impressed with just how easy and simple the process has been made to enable the 'switch', and chose to opt for a 12 month fixed term tariff. We then telephoned the helpdesk to help us complete the process correctly.
Initially, we spoke with George who said he was based in coventry.
He was polite, respectful and very efficient, and helped us complete the process in a remarkably short time. We then received an email confirming the switch. Unfortunately, we received another email a short time later, informing us that there had been a problem in continuing with the switch relating to a credit check.
We were asked to contact Octopus helpdesk to sort the matter out. We telephoned immediately and spoke to a very polite young lady by the name of Kainaat based in Basildon, who ran a full credit check on us and confirmed that everything was in order and that our application to switch energy suppliers was now fully approved to continue. We would rate our experience with both Octopus representatives we spoke to as first class and refreshingly efficient and courteous. Thank You.
