An Unexpected Beginning, A Purposeful Love
When I met Samantha Lynn in the middle of last summer, it caught me completely off guard. I wasn’t searching for anything serious, let alone something as deep and meaningful as what we’ve discovered together. At the time, both my heart and mind were in a season of stillness not closed off, but certainly not expecting. Yet sometimes, it’s in those quiet, unassuming moments that God begins to move.
From our very first Chipotle lunch (yes, that was a turning point!), something shifted. As we spent more time together, it became clear that what we were building wasn’t accidental it was intentional. I began to sense God opening a door, inviting me to step through into something real, something sacred.
One of the greatest joys has been watching Samantha’s faith grow and flourish. To witness someone so open to God’s love and so willing to walk in trust has been nothing short of inspiring. But her strength doesn’t stop there. The way she loves and nurtures her children with such selflessness and determination is beautiful truly one of my favorite things about her.
From the very beginning, I noticed something extraordinary in her: she has a heart that naturally puts others first. Her humility and empathy speak volumes about the love she carries within. She listens with intention. She speaks with gentleness. She cares in a way that is rare and healing. It’s something I hadn’t experienced before, and I don’t take it for granted.
As our love has deepened, I’ve found myself genuinely excited not just for the days ahead, but for a shared life rooted in something greater than ourselves. With God at the center, I know we have the foundation we need to thrive.
Love, at its core, is about sacrifice. The crucifix is the perfect symbol of this a reminder of the ultimate act of selflessness, as Jesus gave His life out of pure love. That kind of love, anchored in service and surrender, is what I long to offer. I want to lay my life down for Samantha and lead her and her children in a way that reflects heaven with faith, grace, and unwavering devotion.
This journey may have started unexpectedly, but now I know: it was always meant to be.
