I initially purchased a well household brand blender for my morning smoothie, but due to spoor design, the unit failed within a few months. I then realised that my needs are for a more robust unit that can blend my mix of frozen fruit into an awesome breakfast smoothie and decided to go for the OmniBlend V _ I was not disappointed! Truth be told, in time I required some replacement parts. Not because the unit failed, but . . . . . . . . On one occasion "we" did not have the jug lid on properly and the tamper got destroyed when it contacted the blade (the blade was fine, the tamper not!) And most recently (must've been too early in the morning to use the OmniBlend) "we" left the clear plastic cover of the lid in the blender and turned it on (again, the blade and blender was fine, the clear plastic cover was drastically reduced in size). I can thus highly recommend the OmniBlend, not just because it delivers on performance, but also has the added bonus that spare parts are freely available at a reasonable price. In addition, the service received from OmniBlend South Africa is absolutely superb! In essence, the Omniblend V is a great product with absolutely great after sales support service and the service provider (Jan Folmer and team) provides an excellent service. Andre Bosman
