The blender works well as expected; however, the cover does not assist with the noise in my restaurant.
In addition, the blade has broken off (a guest nearly swallowed it!) after less than a year of use. I have never blended ice in it, and it is not used as frequently as we should be using it. We have just got our liquor license and we will be making cocktails with ice. I have a 40-year-old Vitamix that I use every day, and I have never replaced a part on it; it works like new.
