I love the video courses. I feel that the community could be more interactive. A forum where people could ask public questions or post recordings of practice sessions and receive feedback would be great. I'd also like to have more resources about technique. Some other platforms offer checklists that are very useful as a guide on what to study next. For example: 1. Sing the root notes of Oleo while listening to the recording 2. Play rootless voicings over the form 3. Transcribe 2 choruses of Sonny Rollins first solo over Oleo 4. Compose 2 licks over the first bars Or 1. Learn shell voicings 2. Learn root (LH) + guide tones (RH) 3. Learn rootless voicings 4. Learn Drop 2 voicings Etc. Maybe some of the courses are structured in a similar way, but having a literal written out path to follow would be very helpful. Sometimes the webpage doesn't detect I'm already logged in, and when I click on a course, the window showed is the one that says you can buy the course or join open studio to enjoy it. I really appreciate the production quality of the videos. Tbh, I do not feel that the platform you use to show sheet music alongside with the video is that useful, having a pdf with the sheet music would be enough. Changing the volume or returning to a particular point of the lesson is a little bit slow when using that player, so I usually use the simple player. I don't like that the courses have checklists with 30+ items, but in reality there are just 10 items that get repeated because there is an audio only version, a simple player version, etc. It ruins the feeling of "gamifying" the course because the checkmarks don't really reflect how many classes I've seen.
