“I’ve been a member of Open Studio for about two months now, and it has already been a very fun and inspiring experience. Before joining I had taken some lessons with a teacher and studied from books and random videos, but I often struggled to organize everything and make real sense of it. Open Studio helped me start putting the pieces together in a more practical way. Adam Maness is an incredible teacher. He has a way of explaining things that makes them feel clear and approachable. Even though it’s still early for me to fully measure my progress, I can already feel that I’m growing. It has also influenced the way I think about music in general, and that has helped me as a classical piano teacher too. The community is another big part of the experience. It’s motivating to see others learning, sharing, and evolving. You don’t feel alone in the process. I would recommend Open Studio Jazz to anyone, at any level. It’s a place where you can grow, stay inspired, and genuinely enjoy the journey.”

“Enjoying my course on improvisation. Presenatation is excellent. The explanations of the main idea are easy to unnderstand. Well judged tone - not patronising but avoiding complex musical terminolgy. It's great to have the opportunity to play along with band. Finally, I`m glad I am able to access the course without having to take out an annual subscription. Paul”

“Fantastic site, with truckloads of content; so much so that I have no idea where to start for this review! I am a beginner jazz learner, although I would consider myself early intermediate classical piano player. The site guides you through the lessons. There is a good amount of theory to tie the learning process together. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that we had a visit from Daniel Anastasio with a classical tutorial. Would be nice to see more from him!”

“The beginner course is perfect. (I have classical piano training, intermediate level). I had serious doubts about the practice sessions but you can repeat segments over and over until you "get it", and the drum/bass in the background is helpful, and the teachers are patient, encouraging, realistic expectations, "learn by failing" ie it is ok to make mistakes---I wish I had that mantra when I was growing up in an old school world of perfection by the tiger mom is the only way. And it is such a delightful world from the rigidness of classical music. I couldn't be happier.”
