Hi Enrique, no worries. I see you got on our email list from your course purchase but you're now unsubscribed. Happy practicing!

The first actual lesson (as opposed to generalized introduction by both persons) seemed more like a demonstration of how the teacher could play riffs and trills and not how a student should see the actual technique of accomplishing them! I came away with no actual explanation regarding how I should practice the observed riffs and trills! But, in defense of the instructor; he probably thinks my skill level is higher than it actually is!

So guys( im a fan of your you tube channel) .. i enjoyed the etudes, nice study pieces. the explanations were just ok as it was. the last two thirds of most lessons were mostly, in my opinion simply a show of virtuistic skill by the presenter. Yea, Peter is awesome, fun to watch and sure the notation is there to dissect but in all honesty not very informative. Its like going from 5mph to 100mph to be honest. enjoyable but??? Ive gotten more out of your free stuff on you tube. Keep trying tho I enjoy your you tube channel. I've been studying hard in the paint on my own on the Barry Harris stuff. I did see one of your guys do a quick vid on Barry's chromatic scale rules. Free on you tube

Terrible customer service. Any and all questions are directed to pay for classes. After paying for 4 classes and still not getting answers addressed, I would recommend staying away from this company. I found Artistworks much more effective teachers. And the customer service was by far above and beyond OpenStudioJazz

I haven't managed to "get into" my purchase yet. I bought it because I needed a course on how to accompany a singer. Also I am a big fan of Adam and Peter and have learned a lot from their podcasts.

The check out was confusing. 1. A discount was not credited and 2. Somehow I paid for a Voice lesson I did not ask for and don’t play piano. I lost my trust for this company.

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to provide a review. Sorry the checkout experience wasn't optimal for you. It does appear that the three packs were discounted for you. I've refunded your Voicings Pack for you completely, but you can still have access to it. It's about chord voicings that would apply to you as a pianist. It's not necessarily a vocal course. Let us know how we can make your experience at Open Studio any better. Shoot us an email at support@openstudiojazz.com Best, Dan Co-founder, Open Studio

Hi there Siak. I see you tried the Piano Access Pass free trial. Sorry you didn't find the perfect fit of courses. It's possible that you didn't get to the right one in the 7-days. If there is another course you would like to try, just let us know and we can send you a full sample lesson.

Not a lot of interesting content. The main jazz method course seems like a chaotic mess. Most of the videos don't have "virtual" keyboard feature. There are only lead sheets instead of fully notated arrangements.

Hi there Marciej, Sorry you were disappointed in the Jazz Piano Method course. As you likely saw, this is an ongoing course with an archive of over 450 lessons and still a new lesson posted every week. All of the newer lessons have our Living Notation player included (with interactive notation on screen). If you would like another week of the trial to dig deeper, simply send an email to support@openstudionetwork.com Best, Dan Co-founder, Open Studio

Some of the explanations could be slowed so people could understand what’s going on I am a retired music teacher and I look at presentations some teachers musicians would show something and would play at lightening speed a big chunk of music I am old school I believe in playing on a fhythmn idea play the same idea again etc

Hello Alexander, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry the Jazz Piano for Beginners didn't live up to your expectations. We are actually working on a new jazz piano course that may be a better fit called "Jazz Piano Jumpstart". We will let you know when that is launching. Best, Dan Co-Founder, Open Studio
