I guess I may be an intermediate player. I started as a classical player, spending months on pieces and not feeling expressive enough. A 2 year stint in a rock band didn’t really improve my skills or fulfill my desires for expression What I especially like about Open Studio is the way I am learning about theory and harmony. It seems to motivate me to search for more possibilities of expression. The Maness videos seem appeal to my type of learning. Peter’s are a little too quick for my level, but I’m confident I will eventually adapt. Overall, I foresee a long membership with Open Studio. I know where I want to be on the piano and feel I’m on the right path. I’m 71 years old. Most of my learning was when I was much younger. I was a theory and composition major in college.
