Opendoor bought a house and put it right back on the market without any updates for way above market value (85k more than they paid for it 2 months prior). They misrepresented a 2 bedroom house, calling a hallway the third bedroom, which was obviously non-conforming on inspection. The house had extensive health and safety issues including dangerous electrical work and a non-functioning sewer. When we send inspection objections, they countered with an $800 credit and denied any further professional assessment. We pulled out of the contract and feel like we really dodged a bullet with that lemon of a house. We previously put in other offers with houses with them that had been sitting on the market and they denied any offers below their overpriced asking.
