Openreach came to fit fibre to our house and had to rebook as we had a flat roof at the front of the property. They came again fitted the outer line to the house ready for the engineer to come to fit the internal equipment. The internal equipment booking day came and our engineer 8am - 1pm arrived around 5.30 but did get everything fitted and was fine. He left saying it would be live overnight. Anyway 36 hours later and 4/5 phonecalls to Utility warehouse and openreach and the engineer himself leaves us with openreach saying our file just shows problem with fitting due to flat roof not complete. The fact I have a fully installed router with flashing lights all green other than 1 red internet light tells me they are wrong and only need to make the line live. Despite spelling this out again and again we are told we have to wait another 8 days for an engineer to finish the job. Which will be a waste of his time as the job is done but openreach system has just not been updated correctly. I cannot believe that there is not a simple fix to this situation that could be achieved by a call to the engineer who completed the job in the first place with a reference to our address. Quite simply poor quality service.
