Bought this for my Mossberg 590, & it's really a no-brainer IMO. I exclusively use Federal's 1.75" mini shotshells with 4-Buck loads. This little piece of rubber stays in place even after 50 shots. The mini shells have "moderately" less recoil than larger shells, but still very obvious that you're shooting a pump action shotgun.
