For the first time in as long as I can remember I can see clearly beyond 4 inches in front of my face. I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 so to see myself in the mirror without them was really weird for the first few weeks following surgery. The hardest adjustment for me has been to think of myself as a non-glasses wearer, it was such a big part of my identity. I feel like a new person.
