I was open minded about what to expect from surgery and found it very painful for about an hour afterwards, but within 24 hours I felt almost fully recovered, and 4 weeks later I am very happy with the results indeed - it has not fully sunk in that I no longer need glasses. I can work for longer without feeling tired and feel my vision is actually better now than when I wore glasses.
