it's difficult to swim with strong glasses or contact lenses - to the extent that I never learned to swim more than one or two lengths. Laser eye surgery has enabled me to take swimming lessons and to complete s mile swim in open water and a number of triathlons. I should have had surgery years ago when I was playing rugby.
