How you imagine the surgery will feel is nothing like how it actually does feel to have it done. The idea is pretty horrific, the actuall reality of it is a walk in the park.
Regardless of what the surgeon or your friends say, you can't imagine it being as painless, as easy and as comfortable as it actually is to have it done.
